pippilotti is the best. this is her best. i love the idea of using pop songs. they distance you from an emotion, but they also make it obvious that you subscribe to this emotion.
I really like how this installation completely takes up the space of the gallery with the 2 sided colorful projection and the music that seems loud in the space, but when in actuality its just an empty room with 2 flat walls. The scale of the projection makes me believe that a viewer in the space would want to stand back in order to see the video. Maybe?
